What should I do? I need your help…

Posted by Pete on December 29th, 2004

I’m adding a new section to my website for polls. Why? Mostly because I enjoy the learning process with configuring the website to be able to do it, but also to hear opinions on things. This will change so while the first question is about what I should do for New Years, it will eventually have other questions up there. Look for a link on my home page in the near future.

2004 Wrap Up

Posted by Pete on December 29th, 2004

So with the New Year approaching I thought I would take a moment to reflect on some of the things that happened to me this year…

I’ve compiled a few things that stand out while still maintaining a certain level of privacy. Believe it or not but I have a set of rules that I follow when it comes to posting on what is and what is not appropriate.

The Good:

  1. My first full year in San Diego - It took some getting used to but I feel a lot more like this is home now.
  2. I made it to 30 - Is getting older really a good thing? So far I believe it is but ask me again in 10 years.
  3. I retired from bowling - Can I ever really expect to do better than a 256?
  4. Broke my horse racing curse - Finally bet on a race and won.
  5. Got better at surfing - I still suck…but I suck less now.

The Bad:

  1. Got into a car accident - Luckily no one was hurt and everything was fixed.
  2. Experienced my first earthquake - Just a minor one, I thought it was gas.

The Ugly:

  1. The First Annual B.O.B. Festival - It was the first, but it may also be the last.

So there was more good than bad this year which I view as a success. Happy New Year!
