Checking out DC

Posted by Pete on November 30th, 2005
I went to DC over the weekend and had a great time. I was able to check out the nightlife, do some touristy things and even catch the Chargers game which ended in an overtime win over the Redskins. Below are some pictures I took with my cell phone.

Thanksgiving

Its a little past the holiday but I wanted to share a picture from Thanksgiving. Every year we deep fry the turkey which is an event in itself but the process actually keeps the bird moist. We liked it so must the first time we tried it that its become a tradition now.

Man, that sounds old. I suppose its time to reflect on the year:

Did a lot of stupid stuff, but survived
Did a lot of smart things, but that was mostly due to luck
I think I discovered I have Adult ADD which stands for Attention Deficit…Let’s go ride bicycles!!

Credit Card Roulette

Posted by Pete on November 14th, 2005
The next time you’re out with a group of friends having dinner a fun game to play is called Credit Card Roulette. Basically at the end of the meal, everyone throws their credit card in a hat and someone picks one out without looking and the person who’s card is picked gets to pay for dinner. The more people involved the less chance you have of paying but of course the more the bill will be if you do lose. As a consolation to losing however, that person should not have to pay for drinks the rest of the night.

I had the pleasure of playing (and not losing) this weekend at Shogun Kobe which is a restaurant very similar to Benihana.

Technorati

Technorati is a blog search site that allows you to tag your posts so that its easier to find things on the web. Just like finding websites through Yahoo or Google but this is focused only on blogs. A good use may be if you’re looking for “local” opinions on things and don’t want to be bombarded with marketing stuff.

New site design!

Posted by Pete on November 9th, 2005

Ok, I took the time during my lunch break to transition over which wasn’t as bad as I thought. Just a few folder copies and config changes and it was working. Now I just need to import all comments from this blog to the main page and add some pictures from vacations and I should be done.

Check it out here.
