Heaphones that won’t break the bank

I like music. I’m not sure that I can say I like good music, that’s subjective, but regardless of your opinion, I think I’ve found a pretty good way to listen to your favorite set of tunes. We’ve all heard of Bose but the amount of money they charge is pretty high. I won’t argue on the quality, although some audio snobs might, but I will propose to anyone out there looking for a set of quality headphones to check out audio-technica.

I recently bought their answer to the Bose Quiet Comfort Headset and I’m blown away. For $110 you can own a set of noise canceling headphones that are just as good, or arguably better than Bose, which charge $300 or more.

Check out the audio-technia ATH-ANC7 headphones.

Restaurant Week

Posted by Pete on January 30th, 2008

San Diego has a pretty cool deal every year called “Restaurant Week” where participating restaurants offer specialized menus at a discount price. Think of going to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for a three course meal for $40. Not totally in the cheap zone but considering their normal prices, it’s a pretty good deal.

Failure!

Posted by Pete on December 28th, 2007

I failed miserably at my 4 week plan. Everything started out so well, and then I missed one day, then it was Amy’s birthday (yeah I’ll try to get away with blaming someone else for my mistake), then we moved, then the holiday parties came up and so on and so on.

It did provide extra motivation to make it to the gym, its just that once I failed for the first time, it became a slippery slope downhill.

Motivation through strangers - Tuesday of Week Two

Posted by Pete on December 4th, 2007

Bad news sports fans, I missed a day. I had a buddy in town visiting last night and I wanted to hang with him instead of ditching him to hit the gym. There’s still hope though, if I work out on Thursday, instead of taking a day off like originally planned, I can still get in my 5 nights of exercise for the week. The problem is that I have plans that night and may not have time. We’ll see. Either way I’m re-adjusting my schedule to try to make up for it and hopefully it will work out.

I’ve never felt so guilty for missing the gym before….

Tis the Season, to scare little kids

Nothing gets me in the Christmas mood more than pictures of Santa…unless of course you’re looking at some of those crazy Santa pictures that I brought up last year. If that’s the case then I should re-state my position; nothing scare me more than pictures of Santa.

Enjoy!!
